This trigpoint is interesting in that it is set on a pillar which has directional distance markers on the top. It is next to a large Boer War memorial and has fantastic views on a clear day, although when we visited it was misty and trying to snow! The concrete pillar is cracked in places, hence the slightly damaged rating. The trigpoint is very close to the geocache GC171, which is the 2nd oldest in the country apparently!

Early morning picture for this one. I was walking the Ridgeway LDP and failed to find a B&B so had to sleep rough (ie no bag or tent)! When the sun came come so did I. Trigpoint recommended for an early morning brew!

This trig point is part of a larger viewpoint, makingit a fairly unusual pillar. There is a prominent war memorial close by; all in all this pillar ias well worth a visit.

Non standard pillar - probably a standard one within the concrete casing. Close to war memorial on Coombe Hill. Air display in progress during the visit.
