Have been commuting past here on quite a few occasions before so was enjoyable to put a 5 hour connection between coach and train journeys to good use on a bright sunny afternoon like today. Best to approach from the gate up by the memorial to save needing to cross the ditch and b/w fence.

Tour of the Loch Ness area bagging FBMs on the way Spean Bridge FBM, Loch Tarff FBM and Glen Moriston FBM also bagged Meall Fuar-Mhonaidh (Mealfuarvonie Cairn) with its probably non-existent trig, this FBM is fairly easy to find, climbed over very rickety gate, found in field then climbed back over Barbed wire fence to road.

Pouring rain and a very busy road, disinclined to jump ditch and climb barbed wire fence so viewed briefly from verge. All looks ok.

I pulled into the layby and exited the car, leaving Mrs Rat there (again). She watched as I crossed the road and negoiate a fence. A fence with barbed wire and wobbly posts. I was a bit shakey getting over the fence and the sheep in the field scattered. Returning back over the fence was easier than original getting over it.

NE side road, with layby 80m SE, or park in Commando Memorial car park - footpath leads back to FBM. Located approx 10m into rough over wire stock fence easily crossed. Good, other than height tag missing.

Log #74. Another simple FBM. I parked at the Commando Mem, but there is a layby more or less right opposite the benchmark. It's in a little hollow, and is only one barbed-wire fence from the road. There are some straggly looking trees between the fence and the road, so for views of Nevis range, the memorial is much better. [ExP-69/MiP-0/BM-5]

Parked in layby, SW side of road at NN210821. Ditch and barbed fence to cross. GPSr recorded height of 126m. Some earlier visitors have referred to the FUNDAMENTAL BENCH MARK as a trig point. This is not a trig. Two completely different functions with only the OS PSD in common.

Passed on the way out for the day, bagged on the way back. Parked in the layby, trig further up the hill than I thought (but closer than the car park). There is a gate near the top of the hill if you approach from the memorial car park. Height tag missing. Also logged as YOSM

As others have said, the ditch and barbed wire are a bit of a nuisance. A lay-by on the road is handier than the Commando memorial car park but the walk is short and the footpath good.
