I found the trig point at Moss Moor on a 11 or so mile run. I’ve been past this Trig point numerous times, but this is the first time I’d stopped to take some photos. Great location on the Pennine Way, with some outstanding views.

I enjoyed the hike up to here, stopping at the marker for the most easterly point of Lancashire. Significant damage (not slightly). It's a shame to see them like this but as Elton John may say, At least It's still standing. 1st Trig of today, off to Standedge next.

An easy walk from the car park off the A672 near J22 of the M62. Views a bit disappointing as it was rather hazy, but would be better on a clear day. Continued walk around various reservoirs by which time it was quite sunny.

Bit of a slog out walking today, had a bit of a cold (though ok taste and smell and no persistent cough) so that made it harder across the dull moorland. The trig is layered with paint, not a bad thing really as it's got some protection against the elements. Views W. Backtracked and diverted to Standege. Thanks to S.C. and A.H. for their support.

Walked the Station to Station walk, an absolute cracking route....nine miles of superb paths. Returning to Marsden via the Pennine Way. A fresh paint job, but lumps of concrete have started to come away and will gradually get worse I fear. The Pennine Way is gifted this pillar, the daddy of all trails and one for every persons bucket list.

From the parking area on the A672 , followed the Pennine Way to the Trig - which has a large chunk out of its SE face and various other smaller areas-the cap and trig are painted white and all sight holes are open -no views misty

En-route from parking area to NW, to Way Stone Edge. Lovely snowy condition, but not deep. Pillar has been painted, all of it, matalwork too - not good. I couldn't determine what the top cap is, such are the layers of paint. All sight holes open. Extensive views S, W & N; E obscured by rising ground.

Cracking 9 mile walk today starting from Ogden Reservoir in the Piethorne Valley at Newhey. Walk started around the Reservoir and ran along the M62 to Windy Hills, and then the Pennine Way on to the Summit of White Hill at 1,528ft. We then walked on to Marsden Moor and returned via Readycon Reservoir and Rooden, Piethorne, Kitcliffe and Ogden Reservoirs.

Looked to have been recently repainted white. I've always known this as White Hill, as shown on OS and Pennine Way maps., so seems appropriate. Nice walk on reasonable Pennine Way section from Windy Hill transmitter car park near Junction 22 on M62.

Someone has taken lot of trouble to repair and paint this Trig. I think it's status can be raised from Damaged to Slightly damaged. one large area of Render missing but it's been stabilised and looked hood in the early Autumn sunshine.

Decided to visit this one while studying the map during a refreshment break (calorie stoking) in Uppermill. Walked Pennine Way from road to West, but coud have cycled along the garvel path they have built . No views in persisting low cloud.

Third visit on circular walk from Marsden via Cupwith Hill and Dog Hill. Second visit was on a cold, crisp day in March, 2010 while researching source of River Tame for my book "Headwaters : Walking to British River Sources". First was 29.7.75 during PW walk. It's a lot easier now on a paved path and there's a lot less visible peat!!

Pennine Way Day 15 of 17. My favourite of the 3 pillars bagged today. Directly on path and a certain air of calm all around. Pillar appears to have been repaired a few times with concrete, but is not in the best condition bless it.

Brilliant views from up here. The pillar was painted white but the paint is now quite chipped. Unfortunately some graffiti is visible on it. Nice trig though in a great location

Stopped off on way back to the NE of England. Walked along Pennine way. Carried on to Waystone Edge, not to be recommended after rain as it is particularly boggy. I will go with slightly damaged but damaged is a little overkill in my opinion. previously visted 23 june 1981 when on pennine way

I would say this is White Hill rather than Moss Moor, which this is an outer satelite of. Anyway, cracking views towards Black Hill, Alphin Pike, Bleaklow, Kinder, Axe Edge Moor, Manchester too. A great but very tiring trek from Marsden, went onto bag Blackstone Edge, and Dog Hill Trigs, you can follow the mywrite up of this walk by tapping Fell Finder into Google, cheers.

The creepy Saddleworth Moor! We went to this trig in the bad winter of December 2009 in the middle of a blizzard! Short walk up from the car park to the NW of this trig (near the mast). From memory (it was a few years ago now!) I think it took us 45 minutes to walk there and back to the car, but the blizzard was so bad that we thought we were going to die! This log was written on 4 July 2014.

16 mile linear walk from Windy Hill to Crowden, bagged White Hill (Moss Moor) and Standedge trigs, the rain went mental between the two trigs but cleared up in the end, made it hard to ford the stream later on though.

Trig is in a poor state of repair. Close to Windy Hill radio mast and the high point of the M62 as it crosses the Pennines. Known as White Hill on the Pennine Way.

This is White Hill, a fair way from Moss Moor and sat right on the Pennine Way. It's a bit bleak and the trigs suffering (but still surviving) but a good walk from Marsden to Toddy (Todmorden) or Hebden Bridge passes this trig just before reaching the M62. Visited again 3rd July 2005 and on this clear day the views were pretty good. And again 07/04/2007. And again 05/08/2007 No cars, on foot.

A White Hill to follow the Black Hill on this day on the Pennine Way. Foul day and deep bogs. This was the era of the popularity of the route and before path improvements. Black Porridge! The white of course probably refers to bog cotton.
