The sewage works is used as a depot for Clancy Docwra. Plenty of them around when I arrived at the main gates, but no-one showed any interest, and as the gates were open... Needless to say nothing was found.

Parked outside waterworks & seeing the gate was open decided to try my luck. Walked into compound with GPS & survey map as if I belonged there. Seeing I wasn't challenged thought it to be rude not to take a look around. Checked the area around the GPS location as well as some of the scrub bushes but definitely not there.

This one has gone. Mapped c.40m NE of internal angle of fence (where hole was). This is a flattened area with some gorse and bramble, a few rotting staw bales, and no trace of trig 29/3/08. Area was apparently reprofiled when tanks constructed (late 1990s?). 50k map (not 25k) shows a building immediately S of trig, which presumably went at same time. 2/4/05 searched around the tanks themselves - no trace of pillar. FB was S3488 (OS). A walk around the perimeter reveals several repaired holes in fence. Forgot to look for the SB.

I too got within 60ft, but didnt go though the hole as vehicles coming/going. Now looking at the map I agree that it (if at all) is in the tangle of brambles...

I got to within about 35 meters of location, and then can up against the fence around the water treatment works. There is a hole in the corner of the fence, but at the time of my visit there were cars parked outside the main water works building, so decided to leave this one for another day! Updated to definitely missing in view of other logs.

I wandered into compound and no-one about so had a look around. No sign of it so I think its on the higher ground outside compound in a jungle of brambles. Didnt have 10 digit grid ref and flamethrower so I didnt attempt.

More work needed here. The pillar is marked on OS maps as being inside the sewage works grounds. Permissions will need to be sought from Southern Water before this one can be logged properly.
