theres about 20% of the top skim of concrete missing.. i dont count that as slightly damaged..besides this one is so well embedded no hedgecutter will ever touch it. fb is partially blocked by hawthorn branch. i can confirm the plug is intact though.. would take a very determined effort to nick it. the views not bad but i cant rate it as any more than 2 because theres no view of the trig!

Pulled up roadside and had a minute wandering up and down the road. Read previous logs and realised I had parked as good as on top of the trig! Scrambled through the thorns and nettles to get a couple of pics.

After the grey morning the sun was now breaking through and the temperature rising. Leant bike against gate to remove track bottoms and admire view. Turned round to look for trig and found it was behind me on the opposite side of the road. Ackwardly the FB is on the opposit side to the road in the hedge.

A roadside trig pillar so no difficulty reaching it. However being part of the hedge it proved quite difficult to view the flush bracket and plug. Some slight damage to the top but should stand proud whilst ever the hedge remains. Nice rural views somewhat restricted by the hedges.

The pillar sits inside the hedge on the side of a minor road crossing a low hill to the southeast of Llanfyllin. It has a metal cap with shallow lettering. Part of the top surface of the pillar is missing. The FB S4725 was read by crawling into the hedge and taking a blind photograph around the corner. The adjacent gateway provides a convenient parking space. Peering over the hedgerows provides reasonable views of the surrounding countryside. The Long Mountain, the Breiddens and the Shropshire Plain can be seen to the southeast. Allt-y-Main and the Vyrnwy Valley are to the southwest. Looking over the hedge to the north of the road there are green more rugged hills to be seen.
