Parked near Dunbridge station and walked footpath south through woods and up towards trig. Some of the paths are difficult to walk and have been diverted in some areas. Trig point is a short distance off the ROW.

On the map there looks like there is a track coming off the road to this trig. I couldn't find it so went up the FP Trig is next to track and has good views. went back down the same FP to get back to the road.

Permission from farm to visit this one as it is off the RoW, grudgingly given possibly because there appears to be a grave very close to the pillar.

No public access to this trig, but it's not too far off the footpath, although is in sight of the farmhouse. Parking on the minor road is also nigh on impossible. There is space for one vehicle (at SU3155624476) 550m SE of the spot I planned to park at. From there it is a trespass over farm fields and tracks to the trig. Pillar is partially obscured by bush growing to one side of it and in which it is becoming absorbed into it. Otherwise it's in good condition. Sight holes are all obscured by the rising ground level; original cap is in place. Views west across to the East Dean trig visited half hour ago.

We approached via the footpath that enters the field from the south and then headed to the trig once we hit the hedgeline. As Kevjtrig says it does look like some kind of grave - must have been a big bloke, or a horse/pony perhaps? What a great headstone to have! Plug with indented lettering.

Where the trig point should be was a narrow field of six foot high maize. Had a poke around in the maize but couldn't find it. Definitely one for the winter when the crop has come down.

Didn't expect to get this one (being on farmland and off footway), but the footpath was unmarked so I 'accidently' ended up at the trig! Slightly creepy as it looks like a grave has been dug with the trig as thet headstone! Not much of a mount though. More a hillock.
