I've driven past this many hundreds of times on my way North, but today after being enthused at the Wooler Triggers' Meet I decided to stop and bag it, wearing wellies. My photo is the same as the recent ones, so not posted here.

2nd attempt to find this one. Easier at this time of year though covered with moss and some long grass. Last time I had to give up as was only wearing sandals and the strap broke!!

Covered in dead rushes but eventually trod on it! Very boggy by the trig as small rivulet runs alongside it.

Used big fern plant in photos as a guide. Over ditch and through hole in rickety fence. Wet and slippery. FBM near invisible until right on top of it. Moss up to top.


Between the two patches of ferns behind the fence.

Took a bit of finding in the wet. Impossible to see until you're right on top of it and gps wasn't playing ball today. Managed to squeeze through the hole in the fence without damaging anything.

Easy spot from the otherside of the fence. However, the posts holding the fence are all rotten so I had to crawl through a hole to the right of the FBM

If I'd looked for the geocache first I'd have spotted it earlier! Wee ditch and fence to cross and some boggy ground but easy enough!

A very mossy little feller but with a 'non-standard' Whopper of an 'OSBM' bolt atop. Squeezed thro' a tiny hole in the fence, directly across from carpark in mushy reeds.

Across from third layby from bridge Fence has large gap below top wire thought must be those pesky triggers and was right under snow but still found it

Hard to spot in the long grass. The stile (and toliet block)in the sketch have gone. A group of women and children having a picnic in the layby were trying very hard not to stare at the strange man. Why no Aux?

Passed this one on the way to Schiehallion and only knew it was there thanks to TomTom alert. A quick rummage through the undergrowth revealed the FBM - very handy car parking across the road. A beautiful spot.

just over a fence with an old stile. If using the sketch, please note that the bogs are no longer there. Toilets are gone, the other kind of bog is alive and squelching.
