Long walk in from Dalwhinnie, but in good weather, the 10 hour stroll is worth it for the scenery. Vanessa in very good condition. The spider centre is open and the carboard tube can be seen down the hole. All four sighting holes are open but the bolt is covered by stones dropped down the centre hole. Flush bracket faces 58, ENE. Secondary station in Block NH40, Loch Ness. Built 16th May 1960. 360 panarama from top includes Ben Alder, Ben Lawers, Ben More, Schiehallion, Ben Nevis, Ben Macdhui, Ben Rinnes, Lochnagar, Carn Gower, Glas Maol, Ben Vrackie. Eventually got down to col without ever knowing if I'd been on the edge of crags. Only found out 4 years later in clear summer conditions that there are no crags there anyway. Thanks OS for your unhelpfully ambiguous black squiggly lines!!
