Followed good track all the way to an old stone bridge and then cut right up bank to footpath to turbine road and followed that to last turbine then right up track takes you straight to pillar. Some great pools and historical features on route too. Pillar good, 1 sight hole open, Flush bracket fence side and Spider in place but no cap.

Started at the parking on the A4061 & headed into the forestry on the southern side of the reservoir to do a circular walk to the trig. Didn't realise that Welsh water are working on the dam so couldn't cross it to get to the other side of the valley. Slight detour to a footpath further along down to a very old stone bridge going over the river. Followed tracks then over the Moor to the trig. Walked to the escarpment then & found a trail leading into the woods & back to the start. Misty & wet.

Walked up from a small parking area called Beili Glas by the A4061. It was rainy and foggy with no views. By the time we got back down to the reservoir the weather was much improved, so we went back up for another look in the sunshine! Lots of wind turbines nearby, and peat bogs with "danger of death" signage, in case you were thinking of taking a shortcut.

I parked at start of forest track to the west. Followed track to end of forestry and then as the crow flies. Return journey followed pylons on a good track to the north west, the track turning west along the northern edge of forestry. Visited high point. Continued to the road(A4061) and back to car. The weather has been dry and this return journey was as easy as the forestry route in. In wet weather this would be much more of a slog.

My route to this trig started at the car park/view point at SN9270203094. I followed the road down the hill and went east along the perimeter of the forest. This was hard going because of the swampy & tussocky grass. I came back via the wide forest road starting at SN9429703269. This was longer but easier. I hit the road at SN9229702719 where there is space to park so this would have been a nice place to start. Good views at the trig spoiled by inclement weather. Nice view from SN6464203409 not to be missed.
