Parked on the street near Roundhouse Towers and followed the footpath through the golf course onto the hill. Pillar has a lot of cracks and has a few chunks missing at the top. Good 360 views.

Walk from roadside parking at Roundhouse following RoW through golf course. Followed RoW through farm on return to make it a circular. Great views all around from trig.

Parked at Roundhouse Close car park and walked up past golf club on PROW. Easy access. Views spectacular across to the Beacons, Sugar Loaf and Skirrid. Pillar slightly cracked and spider exposed on top. FB intact.

Done a loop and parked near the shop on main road. Walk towards to golf club and down the lane then via to the right. You'll be on the main path all the way upto the trig. Amazing views all around

Walked up from Ebbw Vale side, start from the B4486 up a track / footpath route to the small pond near the tipping site. The footpath turn NNE up onto the Tarren y Trwyn and head directly towards the trig. When the paths splits continue straight forward on a faint path to the trig. Lots of wild horse.

Came up from the Ebbw Vale side and parked near the refuse site good 35 minute walk up following track around site, past pond and up path on right after passing through farm gate. Trig damaged and as previously mentioned top been bashed! Trig spider and flush bracket (3 numbers have tops taken off) in place. Trig itself has cracks but is painted white with the traditional red dragon.

2/2 From Gregs in Ebbw Vale, through outskirts of town- shocking litter, how can people live like this! and upward, passing edge of golf course and highest tee off point in Great Britain before final rises to high point and pillar with red dragon. Superb panorama, Beacons, Blacks, Sugar loaf, Skirrid and valleys. Followed ridge on E side of Ebbw valley S to Aberbeeg and climb back to Pen-y-fan pond.

from Golf club. damaged hill with multiple off roaders tracks. Pillar has been thoroughly hacked at too..Most of the concrete around the spider has been removed. upon inspection a number of initials have been stamped into..talk about pre-meditated. The fb has suffered even more 3 of the 5 numbers have been chiselled off. idiots

Found the pillar in poor weather conditions, rain, cloud & wind. The pillar has it's own moat and is damaged. The spider is completely exposed, there are substantial cracks in the column and the asphalt plug is missing (there's a residue of asphalt around the edges as can be seen in the photo). The raised numbers on the flush bracket have also suffered some damage but are readable. We had parked at Coalbrookvale and walked up via Llanerch-y-pant, then across the top of the hill and back down via Bwlch y Garn, mostly on public paths, but also used a convenient track marked on the OS 1:25k which is not a public row.

The FB has been used for air gun target practice. Not sure I've logged one with 5 digits and no letters before. The 117 looks to have been chiselled off, while the two 2's appear to be a different size/font to each other. The hill is flat enough on top to only reveal the nice bits.

One of the more pleasant valley pillars, good safeish parking to the NW near house. Hillside badly scarred by bikes but all quiet today. Pillar is badly damaged around the spider but otherwise bearing up. Good views and picked a gap between showers to visit.My final pillar on OL13.

Great views all round, although spoiled slightly by nearby landfill. Quite a lot of damage to face plate and top of pillar as well as a crack around the centre.

Damage to the flush bracket numbers, top and cracks too. Someone has clearly attempted to remove the metal plate from the top. Lovely walk up from the Silent Valley nature reserve at Cwm, though the landfill site was very smelly.

As previous reports the number 7 is chipped away and some of the top has been chipped away to reveal the spider base. Views were good from the pillar as it was a pretty clear day.

Came up here from above the old pub at the top of a steep road, still a reasonable climb left though. Slightly ironic considering i was in the area to discus with NAW staff how geographic information could be used to promote tourism for the area. The 7 is chipped away there is a significant crack around teh middle and though no worese that for at least the last two visits the whole of the top is chipped away down to base of spider. On balance I with Trigs r us Damaged Marginal on the decision
