Parked in the parking space at the bend in the road. Feeling revved up after tackling Mynydd Troedd we headed straight up Cockit Hill and a very pleasant ascent it turned out to be with lovely views across Langorse Lake. Once up on the moor it was a very enjoyable and straightforward walk along to the trig. Although the high summits were under cloud cover it was great to locate Pen Cerrig-Calch which we'd bagged the previous day. Final dragon trig of the hols and more importantly this was my 200th trig in the bag!! :-D

Started walking from the multi activity Centre Follow The Bridalway path and crossing stud until I'd come to what looked like a sheep track followed up bringing you right on top to summit the trig point.

Lovely day and great views and an enjoyable walk from Llangors Lake. Trig in good condition painted and sporting the red dragons. Spider, Flush Bracket and Cap/plug in place with the added attraction of some super views.

Walked from the small parking area to the north. Started with a climb, then a beautiful walk along the plateau to the trig point. Then we walked down to get views looking over the lake, which you can't see from the trig pillar itself. Lots of sheep and horses around.

There be dragons! We walked up from the climbing centre near Llangorse Lake, passing the renovated shepherds house on the way. Fantastic clouds on that day. Looks like the trig has had a coat of paint, and new dragons, since some of the previous logs.

Quick dash up from the hostel at Gilfach. Awkward path until breaking out onto open access land. Pillar sits atop a rustic stone plinth and sports an old coat of dirty white paint; red dragon stencils on all 4 faces. Original cap in place, lightly indented lettering; LHD side sight hole open. Extensive 360deg panorama.

New territory, get to do the Brecon Beacons/Black Mountain at last. Seen the Welsh Dragon on trigs on this site before - one thing that inspired me to go a wandering. Cold grey but some lovely sun later. Wonderful little wild intro. 2 marilyn walk 2 trig walk - Troedd next

Walked up from cockit hill. Pillar in good condition with metal plug. Red welsh dragon on all four sides. Views very hazy to-day but imagine they would be good on clear day.

Another trig pointed white with the Welsh Dragon on all 4 sides. A simple walk up from Cockit Hill and between the passing snow and light hail showers, the views across to Pen Y Fan etc and the nearer Black Mountains we fantastic!

Visited on a bitterly cold day, but this is a lovely "easy" climb that gives good value in terms of views.

Fully intact trig with some great views nearby. I feel it's hard to know how to score these as I see dull flatland trigs so frequently scored with 9's and 10's. This is 100 times better.
