Water tower was being converted into a residential property, but now appears to have either been paused or abandoned unfinished. Accessed the grounds by climbing over a wooden gate at SO 61179 92030 on the eastern side of the water tower

They still haven't finished the Watertower conversion. The pillar is right against the construction site boundary fence with the Flush Bracket facing inwards. However with no one on site I noticed an wooden access gate through the hedge about 50m down the main road. You have to squeeze through, but it allows access to the pillar's FB. No real views are possible.

Greenbell and paulxtr. Thank you for taking interest in the netchwood common and the tower. But please refrain from touching it through the fence and especially don’t go past the fence. I don’t care if there’s a gap in the fence it doesn’t mean you can trespass onto private property. I hope you can understand where I’m coming from. If we are there doing work then you’re more than welcome to pop in and say hello otherwise it will not be tolerated and if caught we are more than happy to get the police involved.

Fab conversion of the water tower, near to Ditton Priors to which it seems all roads lead round here, cloud eventually shifts so a dash up Brown Clee in the evening.

Very impressive conversion to the water tower, which is still not completed. Managed to got access around edge off steel fence to take photo's.

Second visit during another wander around this beautiful part of Shropshire. Seems to have been some more progress on the house since last time in April, 2015 and sounded as if there was someone working inside today.

The famous 'water tower' progress seems to have stalled. A fence round the site excludes access to the pillar but it can be reached through the fence, the flush plate is on the only face not visable.

Trapped just inside the site compound trapped close up against the Heras fencing Nobody around at this time in the evening and looking at previous posts the building work doesn't seem to have progressed much.

Doesn't look like the conversion of the water tower has moved on much in the last 12 months although is it fenced off now with safety fencing. Hope the pillar survives the refurbishment.

Nothing of interest right on the roadside, other than the strangest of conversions. Of all the trig points. Warning. This one is on the land of someone who sees touching the trigpoint as a major trespass which he would contact the police over. I bet they would be really interested in that. 😆 Quite pathetic.

I did not visit the trig this time, but I want to draw attention to the fact that the nearby water tower is being turned into a house and the pillar may well soon end up in a garden.

Amazing that a reservoir/water tower complex should have an opening gate entrance! To cap it all, there was even a Port-a-loo there! Useful if you've just had a pub lunch and a pint of 'Abbot'! The pillar has its original plug with slightly-indented letters [actually, it felt quite oily which was strange as there was no oil or any other liquid on it]. All sightholes below ground level. Quite a lot of white paint and patches had peeled to reveal the red-sandstone underneath. No views at all from here due to the hedges and tower.

This one has got a lot easier not that the work in the reservoir compound had finished including the clearing of the undergrowth. There is an unlocked gate into the compound and all one has to contend with is a bit of mud.

Most pillars can be seen from miles around. You can't see this one from 5 feet away. A right b***** getting through the hedge but it can be done ouch.

A bit of a Sleeping Beauty's Castle job, but there is a way in to the middle of the blackthorn and bramble thicket containing the still painted intact pillar. Area dominated by a French (or Forton Services) style water tower. Plenty of subsequent visits (and touches!) as the tower is slowly turning into a house.
