OS records this was due for destruction 17 Dec 1992. Walked the perimiter of the covered reservoir compound, pillar would have been just inside the fencing at the southern corner but nothing seen there. Possibly went when the compound had an upgrade. The square pyramoid asbown refers to below is not a trig pillar.

Would have been just inside the fencing here TP5082©jonglew

Nothing to see here, earlier today I also had a look at grid ref SU63969 81318,this location as been suggested as a possible refinding of the Nettlebed pillar, after having a good look I am not convinced that the concrete bloke here though trig like is a trigpoint though I could be wrong.

You can't get into the Thames Water compound, but all the indications are it has gone. Fruitless stroll up redeemed by having a superb view of a low flying Red Kite on the way back to the car (they are reasonably common in the area).

This might be there but it is either at the back of the garden of Windmill Cottage or buried in thick undergrowth on Thames Water reservoir land. I could get to within 10m of the posted coordinates but it is impossible to see through the undergrowth. Maybe someone will have to ask permission of the land owner to find this one.

not seen, poss in high-fenced water pump sta compound; not visible from outside. As of 2013 the OS trig archive intriguingly says "TO BE DESTROYED 17/12/92" and from others how have looked inside, the deed is evidently done.

GPS put this one in the middle of some brambles, but unlike TP4092, I failed to find this one, despite a good look. Aroused the suspicions of the locals who were whispering "what's he doing?" to themselves before finally plucking up the courage to actually ask me! Not so much GOML, as they didn't own the land, more NIMBY!
