Called at this one on the way back from Bollington. Fading light meant we missed the footpath and had to negotiate a barbed wire fence in the next field. A nice coat of white paint meant it is easily visible in near darkness. Views obviously very limited on what is my first night time visit to a trig point.

Highly visible and easily accessible. Just off footpath in open field. In comparison with the picture taken in January 2011 the pillar has recently been re-painted. To me it is a shame that it is an all over painting as it disfigures both the flush bracke and the plug. However, from a distance looks well. Some reasonable views from this elevated position. Passing nearby with my walking group, The Irregulars, LDWA so the opportunity for Applepye, Melch and myself to detour to this pillar was just too good not to miss.
