Parked in front of some houses before the turning to the farm. Was heading to Tree Tops to seek permission as advised by other baggers below - met a chap leaving in his car - all was good, pointed the way, just up past the farm buildings by a tree. Easy!

Cycled up farm road and rang house bell. No answer. Went into farm yard through open gate with "beware of the bull" sign. Loads of cows in shed, but no sign of anyone. Then saw a blue tractor coming up the road. I asked the driver if I could see trig. He gladly said yes. Wend through field by side of cow shed with sheep in it. Trig in good order. Looks like the sun is coming out. When I was going on to the next trig the bloke in the blue tractor passed me and waved. So nice to see that not all farmers are like the one at Ready Token!

Parked in the 'village' by the pillar box, walked up to New House farm, Tree Tops, [which nobody in the village had heard of] is the house on the left, permission freely given.

Looking for somebody to ask permission, when young woman drove up to Treetops. She knew what I was after and readily gave permission. Access through two gates and pony paddock to left of barns.

This one needed permission for access and the farmer was only too pleased to direct me. The pillar is behind a huge pile of hay bales, on the edge of a pasture field. All intact - plug with deeply indented letters. All sightholes closed. Concrete base exposed about 6" on W face below flush bracket. Some paint on all faces. Large crowd of house martins gathering on wires - they need to be off soon! Reasonable N views in spite of gloom.
