Did an OS Pathfinder walk around Grassington so after we'd finished, simply drove up Moor Lane and parked by the old mining ruins. Walked a few yards further on, then took the FP along the walled path. As you turn to the right the pillar is visible straight ahead, but the best way into the field is to follow the FP left for about 100 yards where there is a gate. The heathery moorland to the TP was soft underfoot but noting too boggy. Great views all around.

Poor view today with pretty dense mist. Easy enough hike up Moor Lane from Grassington. I followed the path from Yarbury going NE and climbed the wall but alternatively a little way after Moor Lane becomes the track that is Old Moor Lane a gate on the left gives easy enough access, then veer SW across the open moor. Was going to press on & visit the trig on Meugher but the mist got down to 50ft visibility as I passed the old Grassington lead mines and being unfamiliar with the area thought better of it and headed back to Grassington to eventually visit the Kilnsey Moor trig. Score is irrelevant today.

Mystery object - found at the base of the trig; doubt its survey-related - perhaps a gun-rest for grouse-shooters?
wall bracket - in Grassington; on Hebden Road, facing up Main Street.
