Parked on Marbury Road. Climbed over a gate. Crossed the field to the other side, and climbed over another gate. To your left is the enclosure where the pillar is located. The enclosure can be accessed by climbing through 2 pieces of string that have been tied to railings where a section of the fence has collapsed. 4 of 15 on my 15 trig Nantwich/Whitchurch day, and this was my 100th trig!

Entered gate from roadside E, up the hill under the telegraph pole wires to a gate (top right). Through the gate, there's another almost immediate to left. Through that and the trig is to your left. Missing spikes from fence. Easy access but overgrowth takes view away.

Roadside verge parking due W. Pillar sits on a small disused covered reservoir surrounded by low spiked railings which offer no protection from the enthusiastic bagger. An original centre cap is retained, lightly indented lettering; front sight hole closed, other 3 open. Dark, no views.

from nearby road. the trig hides pretty well. fenced off and overgrown on the inside. the trick is to find a couple of loose spikes... once in the trig is yours. theres two manhole covers up there one of which isnt secured.. a head torch would be handy if you dare.

Entered field via gate at SJ551470 and followed the hedge to the top of the hill. There you can just squeeze past the cow drinking tub and turn left to the disused? reservoir compound. Had to undo some twisted barbed wire which was keeping the gate closed. Curious little compound with some steps up to the trig. Lots of trees surrounding, so no views.

Cycled up from Canal barge at Steer Bridge and left bike to the SW. Three barbed wire and one electric fence followed by an easy hop over the iron railings to find well preserved trig.

Inside resevoir compound,4ft spiked railings but there are 2 missing behind the compound so can squeeze through,dont wear shorts ! Nettles are 6ft high.Pillar in good condition.

Access to this trig point is easier than you think. Park in the lane about 70 metres south of a modern large house and walk diagonally up across field to right hand corner. Go through gate on right and almost immediately through another gate with the railings of the disused reservoir on your left. Follow the railings around to eastern side. There is a gap in the railings by the old gate to the reservoir which gives easy access to the trig point which is sited on top of the overgrown reservoir.

Inside a deep copse of trees and briars, surrounded by an pointed iron fence. Had to force open old gate and risk life and limb. Both me and the trig a bit battered!! Farmer said OK to visit. Private land
