Really doesnt look like an FBM top - I reckon this is a Surface Block and awarded it Good condition as such... Village Fete were setting up so I wasnt going to try excavating anything! Presently marked by withered daffodils. Jubilee Trig#3. :-)

I'm not sure this is an FBM, looks much more like your bog standard suface block...may be its a 'nightshift' FBM, abit like the Morris Marina my dad owned...it was supposed to be a car! Note its the second set of village greens when you turn in, not the ones with the fences around and the beacon in...next ones up with the painted white stones around...now there's posh.

Easy to locate this roadside location. Even easier to find at the moment because it is encircled by dafodils - an idylic setting.

NO daffodils at this time of year so you just need to clear the recently cut grass off it. I went to primary school in Longhorsley and never knew this was here!

Its just a few feet from Teasels 1st photo and currently in a patch of daffodils. The usual granite top has gone exposing the nobby rivety thing as found in surface blocks - I presume top knocked off by passing vehicle as its a flat public area near football pitch. It cant be a surface block as set in granite not concrete. Have just checked photo on OS site and maybe it doesnt have a top !

This is not an FBM! We were about to post a "definitely missing", when Jayne spotted a rivet in a kerbstone. Looking at the photos and sketches on the OS site, I'm not sure whether the benchmark is the strange thing sticking up out of the grass (no longer there), or whether it's the rivet.

A rivet in a kerbstone, not an FBM
