About two miles south east of Selling railway station. Up a dead end lane heading north west. At highest part of road gap in hedge giving good views to west. Opposite on east side is an obvious hill. Over gate and straight uphill. Near to pillar is a signal beacon. Views lost as trees have all grown up around. Fabulous location name. Extra point for that. Good condition, spider and cap in place.

Nice little mound, locals like it (they call it The Mound). They have recently cut back the understory, culled saplings, overhauled the fire basket beacon, installed a hand-rail(!) and have scheduled a small shindig up there for tonight. The pillar retains an original centre cap, lightly indented lettering; LHS sight hole open. Good views through the trees this time of year.
