So here's some proper info. on finding the elusive path - a Grid Reference - over padlocked deer gate at NH 8965 0863.Then sharp left to follow feint path initially back along fence line. Take first branch to the right up hill. From here the path comes and goes and there may be several ways. Becomes more distinct near the summit

Log #43. Third attempt to find this one, view is amazing. My first Vanessa, slightly damaged cap, probably due to frost. Cap is missing, and there is a bottle of beer inside. Wouldn't mind one myself. If you head past the bothy to the north of the car park, hop the fence (gate seems to be always locked these days), and then continue south alongside the fence. You'll see a wooden post, which signals the beginning of the path, which zig-zags its way up the side of the hill. There is a small bit of exposed rock near the top which I can imagine being a bit slippery in the winter. Parking charge at Loch an Eilein is 1.50 per adult, by the way. [ExP-43/MiP-0/BM-0]
