Six trigs bagged with Trudge Tracey, making our way home from The Wirral. This was the fourth. Parked near junction and walked along the road to the FBM. Vehicular access was prohibited due to roadworks. The FBM is partly buried and has suffered some damage to the top. The height tag is also missing.

Stopped off here on our way from South Wales to Southport to visit this one. There was a worrying humorous moment when the tractor that had been spreading slurry in the nearby field suddenly swung around and came towards us along the perimeter of the field as I was crouched down having my proto taken. I thought I was going to get splattered which would explain the worrying look on my face in the photo.

Another roadside F.B.M. tucked up against a wall. This one has suffered some damage, however as bits have been sliced off the bronze dome; probably by a mowing machine. The height plate is missing, deliberately removed or knocked off by the mower… who knows? The views are just rural roadside stuff… nothing to write home about. The yellow arrow is still on the wall but it’s weathered so much that it’s harder to find than the F.B.M.

Very easy FBM to find as some people have suggested - all you have to do is to look out for a yellow arrow. However, there is the possibility that you may be slightly misguided at the location as there is also yellow paint on the otherside of the road indicating a water hydrant. FBM found to be in generally good condition apart from some buckled lettering. No flush bracket number but there is an additional yellow arrow with a number on the road giving the station number SJ5782.
