Quite well exposed, either by the last visitor or by a good choice of season, not many plants/weeds at all. Looks to have escaped a run in with a vehicle judging by the near by toppled signpost.

A small little concrete block tucked away in the grass verge by a stone wall at the junction of Bull Hill Lane. Very busy, fast road so didnt hang around long, but lots of nice local walks to enjoy.

Cycled over from Buxton for this little gem, only my second FMB (first is just up the road at the Cat And Fiddle). Easy to spot next to the wall at the Give Way sign (road junction). Did a bit of weeding so its now proudly displayed. I gift this FBM to the extensive PROWs we have in this country, one of the best things about living in the UK. I think this week we celebrated the Kinder Mass Trespass.

Small FBM sat in roadside verge on what turned out to be quite a busy road.. Quite an interesting find too, on the way up the lane there was a flush bracket on a gate post! Found in good order and quite easy to locate.

First of four trigs of the day, and a FBM, walking NE of Macclesfield with my mate, Tracker Dog. While I was sure it was on the S side of the road and concentrated looking there, he found it on the other, at the junction of Buxton New Road and Bull Hill Lane, half hidden in the grass in front of the wall near the speed limit sign. On to Kerridge. Why were these FBM's not made larger and more prominent if they were so important?

Warning sign in Macclesfield not lit, but barriers across road being ignore by traffic. As I climbed up Cat & Fiddle road I passed the snow line and glorious sight in sunshine. Road now clear. FB in clear view at road junction.

The final location of my first day in the West Midlands. This FBM is in the roadside verge, tucked up against a dry stone wall. It’s a bit overgrown at the moment but still easy to find. Parking is a bit difficult; I stopped half off the road in a field gate just down Bull Hill Lane. The height plate has been removed from the FBM but that aside, it’s in as good a condition as can be expected. The views are very pleasant… green rolling hills in three directions and a view over Macclesfield to the west.

There were 2 or 3 areas of flattened grass, someone else had been here recently! So it didnt take long to find this, even with all the grass. I took my life in my hands getting my car back onto the road, you cant see the road in either direction if you park where I did! Great scenery.

Easy find but watch where you park!! There are some very large lorries around on this piece of road.

After the rubbish had been cleared away.

Had to dig this one out again. Took my spade, having failed to find it on a previous visit. Seems to have no flush braket, but we might have to dig deeper. It has a OS plate though.

Last visit of the day before returning home. Found it easily on the junction of a minor road and the A537, right against the wall. Very good views westwards over Macclesfield. Again, no railings around it - that's 3 FBM's today and none had protective railings.
