After a day bagging pillars in the Peak District with Trudge Tracey got this one on the way home. It was a return visit for me albeit after dark. No change since first visit.

After a full day hiking in the Peak District, I was able to park about ten yards away from this FBM on the way home. It's a really good example of its type, still being protected by its original green iron fence but the height tag is missing from the centre bolt.

Parking by the roadside just N of Dukes Road and S of FBM. Enough space for 5 to 6 cars. FBM is in a 4 foot metal enclosure and sitting snuggly in the grass. Gifted to Kwickfit guys who often test and reset my tyre pressures. Always polite and helpful.

Good condition FBM in railings by roadside. Height tag is missing and bolt is a bit prised up on one edge. Layby beside the FBM with a nice viewpoint a few hundred metres away.

(1579) Situated on Mortimer Road near to the junction with Penistone Road. Also a BM at that point. FBM easy to spot as it's fenced off - the first one I've come across like that. All good. Height tag missing though, as is often the case.

My first FBM, never knew they existed until I got on Trigpointing UK: I thought they were a lot bigger! Walked up from Emlin trig 240934 and found FBM easily in iron railinged fence by the side of the road. Views are better to the NE if you walk up the road a hundred yards.
