From Middleton Scriven direction I drove past Overton Cottages and turned right at the junction. 100yrds on the left there is a pull-in and a storage barn. Parked there and walked up the headland to the brow. The trig is very well comoflaged in the middle of the hedge. Very foggy day. No views. The trig has been caught by a hedge cutter and is slightly damaged on the rear right corner. Concrete broken and spider bent.

Another attempted beheading. You'd think the farmers cutting the hedgerows would know and be a bit more careful.. a stodgy stroll up hedgerow having vaulted the gate. pillar is between the two trees after the pair of holly trees. no views to speak of today.

Delivered to the farm this morning, so took a little stroll up the field to have a look. Pillar is well hidden in the hedge, but not difficult to find using my Oregon.

Number on the flush plate. It looks more like an 8 than a 6 to me.©p900ajr

Things have changed since earlier logs. You can access through double gates, close to the opposite side of the road to a corrugated roofed barn, and walk alongside the hedge up a permissive bridle track! The hedge has been recently trimmed, and the slope of the land makes finding easy.

This one is on my [slightly out-of-date] Landranger map but not on the current edition of the Explorer map, where there is a tiny break in the hedge boundary line where I think the pillar once was. No trace of it however, so it looks as if an over-zealous farmer has had a go at it....
