Staying in Church Stretton, easy walk up Hazler Road to meet the B4371 turn sharp right on an unmarked road to circle the hill to SO 46718 92746 where you find a mini trig point in the verge by the side of the road (FBM TP0531) head through the right hand gate up to the trig point (TP3695) the summit of the hill 50m SE from the trig to the side of the radio mast

Delighted to find this one having looked on the wrong side of the road earlier in the day - opposite side to the mast and trig pillar! Oh how stupid, becomes FBM 2 for me after Cat and Fiddle. Caer Caradoc a beautiful hill to be on and look at - walk from High Bowdler to CC then the beautiful lanes to N missing what looked like a downpour.

Roadside with no playpen, but a tyre giving some protection from passing traffic. Height tag missing. Good roadside parking also for Hazler Hill trig.

My 'local' FBM (OK, it's about 20 miles away, but they're well scattered) and I've never been to it before, even on the occasions I've been up Hazler Hill. That omission is now corrected.

Fantastic views even though it is a cloudy day and threatening rain. Nice easy trig on side of road with tyre to protect it at base.

Roadside opposite layby. No height tag. Good views to the Clee Hills. On the way down to Church Stretton, I checked the verge in case a Berntsen was lurking, but nothing found. Revisited 7 Apr 2012 12:15 in between Ragleth Hill and Caer Caradoc (OS trig marks database lists a block for each but nothing found). FBM still vgc other than height tag missing; in comparison to other FBMs, the pillar is either taller or more exposed.

Strange beast, so near the pillar on Hazler Hill. I presume it is older, and the pillar came along later. (I did not know about FBMs back then...) Its a mini pillar/block of stone and very easy to spot. Lovely lane, I used to do the bins around here, and we got the bin waggon stuck in snow, just down this lane.
