Circular 3 hr walk with Twiggy from Penysarn taking in Mynydd Eilian as well. Top was in cloud as we approached but it all cleared. Good views but the local views of the quarry even more spectacular.

A scene of man-made desolation. Parys Mountain is many things to different people. Trig point is easy to locate, from the free car park on the north side, just aim on the tracks for the old windmill. Great views all around today.

Purpose built car park on roadside of B5111. A copper mine and now a heritage trail. A labyrinth of easy paths lead to this pillar. The trig is situated 30m north of a derelict windmill. Spider plug is missing and flush bracket faces south. Base of pillar and ground around is severely eroded. A mini Grand Canyon and very interesting walk pushes this score to a 7.

My actual third visit to this geologists paradise but first official bag of the pillar. Nice stroll round the large opencast pit on a blustery but dry day. Pillar in decent nick, although a bit of a crack on the NW side (continues around too) and cap missing. Stood on concrete plinth a bit above ground level. Fantastic views in every direction.

An easy trig to bag, large carpark and a short walk. Don't forget to walk down to the bridge and look down in to both sides of the very deep quarry.

Awarded an eight for dramatic industrial landscape, all carved out by pick axe, with a different attitude to health and safety (those of a certain age and disposition may remember Star Trek episode "Arena"). Easy parking and splendid views.

Parked in car park next to disused copper mines. An odd place this. Not what I would call picturesque compared to the rest of Anglesey. Followed path up towards old windmill where trig pillar stands in front of. Quite an easy one this.

1/2 Walked from Amlwych Port as part of a ten mile walk. Have to agree with the last visitor's comments regarding the location. Would have given a higher mark if the weather had been better.

With S & C. On the trail from the car park to the west. Fairly popular walk on a breezy day. Interesting area with some fine colours. 'I Love Karen' cut into the side of the pillar... did she ever take up trigpointing? We had a look at the old windmill tower. S. impressed with the big opencast mine.

Amazing surreal place - copper workings resulting in weird colouring on the rockscape - brown, red, purple. Stunning. And good views all around (except where blocked by windmill!). This one is a definite must-see

Good parking at entrance to this heritage site, a disused copper mine, due W of the trig. Walked up and down over old spoil heap on a direct bearing to the windmill and trig. Pillar found in a sorry state: slightly leaning, but not by much; foundations becoming undermined; extensive horizontal cracks extending to 3 sides; graffiti etched into one side and lettering filled with a hard white substance "I LOVE KAREN" - well we probably all loved a Karen once, but not sure I'd proclaim it on a trig pillar! Cap missing, remains of an asphalt plug present; RHD side sight hole open. 360deg panorama. An interesting place, windmill is full of information of the extensive underground tunnels.

Interesting walk up through old mine. Ground felt a little fragile under foot. Wonder whether it will cave in one day

Visited on a circular walk from Penysarn which also included Llaneilian trig pillar. It was super windy up at the top and the nearby wind turbines were going like billy-oh.

The landscape is a little strange after the whole area has been mined. Could taste the iron sulphate as I walked along the tracks.

I haver been on Pary's Mountain on many occasions this visit brought me to a geocache just a few metres away , if you have not visited i recomend , you will understand why Doctor Who have filmed here if you visit , eerie but oddly beutiful

Parked on car park of the Coppermine Trail just off B5111.easy walk up on good footpaths.Pillar near ruined windmill.Good views in all directions if you ignore the wind farms.

Some graffiti on the pillar. No plug. SSSI maintained & promoted as a public amenity by Amlwch Industrial Heritage Trust. Easy walk over from Penysarn along muddy public footpath, then ascent of waymarked tracks from east side to windmill & trig. Advise keeping to paths, as there is potential danger from old mine workings.

Really strange location for a Trig pillar, nearby delerict windmill adds to the atmosphere. Quite an easy walk following the footpath from Penysarn. Nice

Interesting location. You cross a moonscape of old quarry workings to get to the ruined windmill where the trigs located. There are new windmills in the foreground (Anglesey is covered in them). A previous visitor loved Angela apparently. Base eroded, tarmac plug pushed through.

This pillar is in a truly spectacular location; situated by the base of a disused windmill, it is surrounded by an old copper mine, with multi-coloured rocks strewn around abyssally deep gashes in the hillside. A spectacular place to visit.
