The first trigpoint was our first mistake if wed have started out earlier then we may not have got stuck in traffic in Loughborough. Easy roadside pillar with good views to the east.

A joint visit with Carole. As you can see from my photograph you can drive right up to this - it also gives an idea of how much of the pillar is below ground. No way can this pillar be regarded as being in good codition as there is quite a chunk missing from the top and it is also suffering from a bad case of cracks disease. As always it is still there and very easy to visit.

Has to be one of the easiest bags ever. Parked the transit (I was working) right next to the trig. Took a moment to realise it was the trig as it was so low down. Only had to push back some weeds and scrape an inch (25.4mm) of soil to read the FB. Damage to top of trig. Got my wheelchair buddy right up to this one. Nice views. This was the first time I had used the MyNGR app I'd downloaded for free on my Blackberry. Very impressed with the accuracy.
