In between stone tracks to access upper part of free NT carpark.. within low stone enclosure. So obvious yet I bet it's missed everyday! Good condition, standard design, with both plaques but no height tag.

Hadn't got my mobile phone with me, so unable to reference this website for info on 'Nearby Trigpoints' and I was having to Trig Bag the 'Old Skool' way - by just using the OS Landranger for the area and driving from one pillar to the next as best I could find them. Butter Hill was high on my priority list for this trip, but I knew nothing about this FBM until I virtually parked on top of it and almost tripped over it getting out the car! It's my 7th FBM to date so I knew what I was looking at when I saw it, absolutely delighted to have picked up an unexpected bonus for the day.

Well a real treat, do like a nice FBM especially given such a fine enclosure. Off through stunning landscape to some very fine fish and chips in Minehead - one on the seafront near the steam railway.

After a visit to the Lynton & Lynmouth Cliff Railway we headed over here to bag the FBM. Just as I have taken my photo I got briefly caught in a massive hail shower, thankfully I had parked only a few feet from gz else I would have got soaked.

Staying at Exford YHA for a few days geocaching, but this YOSM and others encouraged us to drive along the coast road and see a bit more of Exmoor while we were here. FBM found very easily [!] as it is in/near the carpark!

TomTom alerted me to this one and I had to make a swift 180 to catch it. Easy roadside bag, FBM has its own boundary wall, which is nice.

An FBM set in a low walled enclosure at the entrance to a car park off the A39, on the northern extremity of the Exmoor National Park. Very easy to find but not a lot to see from this location. A short walk to the Butter Hill trigpoint will reward you with far better views.

In a small carpark off the A39 adjacent to the National Trust's Barna Barrow plaque. In the centre of a small piece of grass surrounded by a low stone wall. Usual anti-vandalism plaque. Very misty but I doubt that you could see the sea from here even on a clear day.
