From Hillson's Brake (SX 6075 6118). Out onto open moorland at East Rook Gate from where an ATV track, faint at times, leads up the this trig and beyond to the Lee Moor pillar, after which I retraced my steps back to the car. Pillar is in good condition, except for the upper half of the BSM-style FB, which looks as though it's been prised away snapping off. Top cap missing, mortar plug replaces; front and RHS sight holes open, LHS plug degrading. Misty moorland views.

Misty morning run up the steep sided Penn Beacon from Cornwood with Dart More without map or compass proved interesting when we couldn't see that far up ahead! Managed to find the trig with little trouble though and unfortunately the views weren't up to their usual standard due to poor visability. Took shelter behind the nearby Cairn from wind as Dart More logged position of trig on his GPS. Then continued on our trek to Lee Moor.

This trig was getting lonely - nearly 3 years since a log, so we thought we would check it out. Not much has changed, still good, except it had its own moat when we were there - and now some graffiti on the spider! Bagged this along with its neighbour, Lee Moor just to the North.
