Walked from our holiday cottage in Wooton Courtenay, just off the track in the forest but managed to spot it from the track. Stands high on its own plinth.

Pillar located in amongst trees so views limited. A short few yards away some nice views. Pleasant walk around these woods with the usual good pull up to this pillar.

Walked up from Minehead in darkness, mostly on tracks used for 2004 LDWA Exmoor 100. Had hoped to see lights of Minehead but too many trees everywhere, glad of gps as walked around a while without spotting it. On top of orig cap was small stone with painted union jack left for some king of challenge. Circular walk back, gave me an appetite.

A trig on a nice but steep hill. A unique landscape of heath and grasslands on the ridge and enjoyed by Mountain bikers, dog walkers and hikers. Views across to Selworthy, the Quantocks and Wales. The hill is set back from the Bridleway (that follows the top of the ridge) ever so slightly

If you did not know it was here you could easily walk past it buried in the woods as you head east along forest road to the south. is a jacket to a forest track on its North Could also be Peritoneal Hill summit though I am sure by now it has been checked.

Second bag of the day (after Selworthy Beacon.) Up from Wooton Courteney and found my new MyNgr app on my Blackberry Bold very useful in tracking down the trig in the maze of paths. Spent some time ambling through the undergrowth at the nearby Marilyn summit.

Took a little time to find, buried within small wood near an intersection of three paths. Approached from Wooton Courtenay, found some confusion between map layout and actual lay out of paths. Didn't stay long, plagued by flies.

Bagged this on a circular walk taking in Dunkery Beacon also. Steep hill to negotiate coming at it from Wootton Courtenay and not an easy trig to find as it's hidden nicely in the woods - GPS comes in handy sometimes. Standing on a very substantial concrete plinth, the pillar is in good condition. Spelling seems a bit variable, I keep seeing it spelt 'Perriton' but the OS maps only have 1 'r' - which is correct? Probably both.

Base is getting a little undermined by erosion as people climb onto the bank but trig is otherwise in good condition. Great views along the ridge walk up from Dunster.

A tough walk up the bridleway from the A39. I could see Bratton Ball with Wales in the distance, with views in all other directions obscured by the trees.

We approached on the bridle track from the north where there is a handy layby. Trig painted whitish and just south of track. Plug with indented lettering.

came up through the woods, to find the marilyn summit- very difficult to pick out the high spot, especially if its in the woods - its definitely not at the trig. Fasgadh has S3750, but it's gotta be S3758- see photo

Walked over from Porlock, via Selworthy Beacon. The trig is freshly painted on a stone hedge, but obscured by trees, so can be easily missed. The summit is even less obvious in a patch of spruce. Had lunch nearby and met a DofE group from my old school. Descent was lovely,popped out the trees to see Dunkery Beacon in the backround behind a vinyard.

Mostly white pillar on large plinth (with footpath direction signs) under trees. Walked up on footpath from Wootton Courtenay seeing several groups of deer. I think this is Wootton Common rather than Periton Hill?
