Bagged this on a circular walk taking in Dunkery Beacon also. Steep hill to negotiate coming at it from Wootton Courtenay and not an easy trig to find as it's hidden nicely in the woods - GPS comes in handy sometimes. Standing on a very substantial concrete plinth, the pillar is in good condition. Spelling seems a bit variable, I keep seeing it spelt 'Perriton' but the OS maps only have 1 'r' - which is correct? Probably both.
