I parked in a lay by on Crowmarsh Hill, walked back to the roundabout, left on to Port Way and left again on to Cox's Lane. Walked uphill to the farm only to realise it was possible to park there. Just as well that I was enjoying the walk. Facing uphill, there's a hedgerow on the right with a rusty farm gate attached and forming a corner. At first glance you can't see the FBM but it is there and largely grown by the hedgerow etc. The railings are rusted and the level of the land appears to have been raised slightly over time. The FBM is in good condition but is missing its height tag.

On our way to Bag Grim's ditch and had to stop here for this FBM. Caged in and a little overgrown but not too bad. Usual farmyard views from this spot.

This is my NTSC trig, being No 525 (One for the Broadcast Eng of you)! I cycled along NCR5, as this FMB is just off it. To my detriment, I have never cycled along all of this NCR from Reading to Wallingford before, even though I used to work here. Lovely early morning trip being nice and sunny, if a little cold. Needed gloves until I got to the FMB. It is in good condition and safe in its play pen. Though getting rather overtaken by trees. I had to do some clearing to get good photos. Went back along the Thames path until Streatly as I wanted to stay out of the way of the Friday morning rush hour traffic. I think this is probably the last Trig I can get to by just cycling.

Used as the only surviving reference point for the Surface Block (which it turns out has been recently dug out anyway). So a compensatory re-bag of the FBM, which is rather nettly

Easy roadside bag with good parking. Playpen getting overgrown and collecting rubbish. Cut down a small thorn tree and pruned a lot of thorn overgrowing from outside, also cleared out bottles and other rubbish. Different plates than usually seen; height tag (missing) would have been on a side plate, not on the top one. Crowmarsh surface block 20m to SE.
