Parked at the Brundeanlaws road end and and headed up the track. Randomly, a little way along the track, we were met by two friendly dachshunds who walked alongside us as far as a cottage further along, which resulted in jovial banter with their owner, when she spotted her dogs being walked by "strange people"! Onward and upward...found the hill a tough wee climb which took my breath away. Fortunately, the cattle on the summit ran off down the hill as we approached. Appeared quite a horsy area, in fact we found a horseshoe up at the trig! I've always been fascinated by the hills in this area when we've driven along the A68 - the stunning views from the trig certainly did not disappoint and we'll certainly return for further exploration.

Had thought the track from the NW looked GOMLy but it was fine. The only damp morning of the week. Completely shrouded in mist, but by the time I got back I could see it from the cottage window.
