Finally got round to walking up Pillar from Buttermere with my mate Skez. A classic walk up to Scarth Gap, down to the Memorial Bridge over the River Lisa and then up through the trees to Pillar Cove for intimate views of Pillar Rock. Returned via Looking Stead and Black Sail Pass to drop back into Ennerdale before climbing back over Scarth Gap again. Just under 7 hours. Pillar trig looked a bit battered.
