At last we've made it, after years of not quite staying near enough/ having the weather. A glorious place and views (search viewfinderpanoramas.org)... from Staffordshire to nearly the far north and south of Wales. Visit its brethten, Arwystli, another "sweat" with its ancient cairns. Weather beginning to come back in. Very quiet and grassy, a few fighter jets, ravens, red kites, pipits and the grass and water stirring breeze. Bliss.

We followed the easterly path up past the old mines and then on to the trig. Hope to upload a panorama to show off the tremendous vista from the top. We then took the westerly path on the return. I agree with the last visitor - this should definitely be categorised as 'damaged'. Most of the top is missing including the plug; the tribracket is hanging on by its fingernails. There is a crack out of one edge and smaller cracks around the face. The concrete base is exposed all round. Good views today - and pretty cold, too!
