Same as everyone else: followed the blue route from the car park. Doesn't matter which way round you go - the trig is halfway. Only one small gap in the trees allows a distant view.

Followed the blue trail up from the Forestry Commission car park, a lovely walk with super views. Views restricted at the trig due to the trees but a nice easy bag, and the trig was in pretty good nick.

Moi posing at the trig :-)

Up from carpark using the blue waymarked trail. Went clockwise. After the trig you pass one of the many Iron Age hillforts in the area.

Parked at the Dykecroft car park. Area part of the 7 Stanes cycle routes although despite the great late February weather not many around today. Well signposted paths and although limited views from the pillar great views just west of the Iron Age settlement site. pillar still in good condition.

Last time I was here this was moorland, now there is a fair growth of trees and a set of laid out forest walks. Views are limited by the new trees.
