Trig in field accessed by footpath then jump gate. Standing on a plinth with wooden fencing around it. Cows in field so had to make a run for it after photographing.

Very atmospheric visiting here in the early hours of the morning with the deep red full moon close to setting over to the west.

Nice little hill top, pity it doesn't quite make the grade for tump status. Pillar is on a large plinth that's degrading badly, some wooden fencing has been erected around it which offers a little protection, but suspect this one will topple at some point in the future (then again I suppose they all will!). Original cap in place, lightly indented lettering; L & RHD side sight holes open. Extensive 360deg panorama.

Easy access over gate to north on a sunny afternoon, all round views of rolling Somerset. Another one on a tall plinth, metal cap, shallow letters, W and E s/holes open, otherwise vgc.

I parked at the bridleway/road junnction to the north where an old rusty gate/barrier gives access to the field. The pillar has its own small fenced compound that is looking a bit worse for wear. Pillar foundations are becoming a bit exposed but otherwise it is in good condition with an original plug. Bit too misty to see any real views today.
