Walked from Quainton village along ridge up to summit compound, nice views from top back to Chilterns and over to Milton Keynes, earlier that day bagged Waddesdon Hill trig and did a walk in the Chilterns that morning, clear sunny summery weather.

This is my 250th Pillar! Had a bit of help from some friendly locals to tell me where the ROW was to get to this Trig. It in a fenced water Res but easy to get access to. It has a bit cut out of it to make room for a cover. Otherwise its in good condition. Nice views all around.

SW corner of covered reservoir. Newish looking 6' high chain-link fencing, but gates easy to hop over. Pillar has been attacked with an angle grinder to accommodate the green hatch that's immediately adjacent. Original cap in place, lightly indented lettering; rear and LHD side sight holes open. Near 360deg views, a bit limited to N.

I parked at the footpath junction to the south and walked up Swans Way to this one (make sure you go to left of the farm and not over the cattle grid as the path goes away from the reservior - as i did to start with!) - pillar is in good condition and located on the edge of the reservoir, low wooded fence surrounds the area and there are several gaps and missing railings, good views of surround area.

Very nice circular walk from the village, I gave this a miss as too remote when bagging a chunck of trigs in this area earlier in the year so made a special effort at the end of todays meeting with the county council. Well worth it with good views. Trig itself is a little precariously located on the edge of the reservior with a fair bit of erosion ongoing.
