Roadside verge parking by the trig, which just about pokes its head above the wall. Quite some damage to this one, and not just the screed. However, it retains an original centre cap, with deeply indented lettering. All sight holes are now below ground level.

My second visit, 11th bag of 14 today. No more damaged than it was a couple of years ago, and nothing new to report, though will never be one of the Border Region's more interesting pillars.

Tricky to spot in a low down car. Weeds growing out of damaged bit. Farmer stopped down road a wee bit and waved and took a photo as I was driving away?! Waved back and gave a big cheeser.

Parked on road opposite pillar. A quick approach through one of the many gaps in the stone wall. Pillar has last vestige of white paint. A lot of cement flaking off the top and side. Spider intact. Unable to see from road.

Parked in the quarry entrance to the NE. Some grass was growing out of the hole in the side of the trig so I removed it. First time I've had to garden the inside of a pillar!

Having driven past three times earlier in the week, I feared stopping adjacent on the busy road. Not one car on Friday - because lots of yellow signs announcing road closed half mile further east. Such good luck !

Not in good condition but still shaped like a trig point. I parked to the nowth in a field entrance than walked down parallel to the wall but inside the field. That made viewing the FB easy. Could be my first true Scotish trig point!

Oh dear as previously noted this one is in a terrible condition. Chunks out of it and a nasty crack right through it. The concrete is also breaking up around the spider. Easy roadsider behind a wall with a handy gateway a few meters to the east. FB plate faces into the field and was partially buried.

Located behind roadside wall on edge of arable field. Pillar cracked through near top, possibly a strike by farm machinery. Spider retains OS plug with deep indented lettering. All sight holes buried. FB faces SE ~149°. Secondary station in Block NT86, Berwick. Completed 9th May 1951. Limited panorama to Sweethope Hill, Peirs Knowe, Hedgehope Hill, Cheviot. Nearest safe parking in field entrance at NT849480. First visited 24/06/1995. Revisited and photographed 25/09/2007, GRP.

S side of road hiding behind low wall. FB just below ground, dug out by a prev visitor. Metal cap, deep letters. Top screed broken, deep cracks in upper part of pillar.

It is easy to drive by and fail to notice the top of this pillar just peeping over the top of the wall. Best to drive by in a tall 4 X 4! I thought the damage was more than slight. My picture of the FB was blurred so I have not uploaded it.

A wee bit of digging required to reveal flush bracket. Walked from Kelso to bag this one, then walked back to Kelso. Bagged three wall FBs enroute, G2044, 1422 and 1530.
