Parked up by the cattle grid on the B6261 to the south and followed the Roman Road past the TP to the quad bike track switchbacking to the Cairn & Pillar. Cairn has some damage but Pillar is in good nick. Views all around are fantastic, Big sky in every direction. Beer in the George at Orton afterwards.

There are a few strange metal pyramids around the place which seem to have some trays of white grit next to them. Not sure what they’re about though!
