With RHW's measurements, eminently findable despite long grass, bracken and snow! The stone seems to have vanished, unfortunately.

In grass verge to RH (south) side entrance to Quarrelwood FC car park. Easy find with stone still marking its position, and replaced after photographing.

Long grass & ferns, but found straight away thanks to peregrinus measurements. Left a stone on top for next visitor. Not bad view either.

covered again but obvious depression in grass verge, easily found. 6.5m from new forestry sign, 1.5m from ditch centre, 2.5m from edge of verge

Its still there :) 1m towards the road from the end of drainage ditch, level with surrounding ground.

Couldn't find it. The photos don't really match up with the ground now and there's a trench cut across where the Berntsen may have been.

Nearly tripped over the thing while trying to locate in the dark. Thanks again to Africajim for directions and Pyoung1s pic was great help.

Use Pyoung1s pic or Jims for location as best ones for it, mine sucks lol Pitch black so had to be close

Easily found using the OS photo although a wee manhole cover on a grass verge was not so interesting as the views to the north.

NOW I see Iainmac's picture! Raked around for ages to find this, but going by Iain's picture this Bernsten was hidden under the debris of recently cut hedges. Probably walked right over the top of it but that doesn't count. I'll be back...my anorak deserves the extra stripe!
