Lovely views from here. We took the harder approach from the NE. It's much steeper and there are no tracks to speak of, but the heather is reasonably light at the moment. 10 ponies near the trig.

vgc except for missing cap. Hole was neatly plugged by a bottle of Balvenie as this was my FINAL WELSH TRIG PILLAR (660 in all - survivors, that is. Took 88 days over 5 years: first was 7/12/02 ... so could easily be done in a year ...). Thanks to The Cache Hoppers, PopUpPirate, Pyoung1s, Father Ted and non-caching friends Ann and Rowland, Myrddyn, Colin, David and Harry for turning out on a blustery day. Great scenery though :-) Pyoung1s (in long distance mode) and Father Ted spent some time hoovering up nearby caches and there was a new cache set by the Hopper and the Pirate. And Father Ted presented a very neat little commemorative trig - thanks!! (see his website for other examples of his handiwork). From SSW, good parking, path to summit. [as of 31/12/2018 there were 640 extant pillars + 5 moved, original total 684 - Graeme Paterson info - some 'remains' to add]

Radnor hills are either boggy, grassy or heather clad. This is the latter, parked up at the head of the road east of Rhulen good parking by the large barn near the road head before the farm. Followed the "BOAT" to within 600m then heather all the way as you head almost due south. Track visible approaching from the west but nothing from the northern side. Plug missing but otherwise in good shape.
