First time I have ever visited this site at river level, certainlly a very different view.

OS records show this pillar destroyed September 1966. Pulled into the area to N of the modern bridge taking car over old stone bridge. GPS took me up the embankment to pedestrian walkway on N side of 'new' road bridge.

Data provided to the "Trigonomy" Yahoo! user group from the OS states that the mount was built on 21/04/45 but destroyed 05/04/68. Flush bracket recorded as S3422.

Nosed around underneath haveing driven over several times found the food in the ship and hence the rating but no sign of the trig
