Easy walk up the field edge along the side of Redhall Cottage, continuing up what must have been a hedgerow but is now a vague vehicle track to a field of brussels. To the left of this the TP is nestling under some rather untidy trees and a radio mast, looking rather neglected. Views are OK, nothing special.

Strange but the 1: 25000 maps doesn't show the woodlands to the northeast of the trig point. Parked on the road to the east and walked southwest along edge of wood and field towards mast.

Stopped off on the way home from St Abb's head. Parked at the end of the track on the coastal route and skirted the arable fields to the mast / pillar. Lots of nettles and thistles so not great if you're wearing shorts...I found.

Second visit. For GPS reading and photographs. SITE VISIT: Pillar in good condition. Spider retains OS centre cap with deep indented letters. Flush bracket faces 340 NNW. Vented through SE sight hole. Views to Horsley Hill and Young Jeanies Wood. Vegetation and fallen fence wire to trample in order to photograph FB. GPS signal was poor, possibly due to the trees overhead.
