Ample parking options and lots of easy footpaths. Worth a walk around Borthwen Bay. Pillar situated next to a stone shelter. Spider plug missing. Flush bracket faces SE. Great location on an early summer evening. The White Eagle Hotel makes for a great end of day refreshing drink or meal.

4th pillar of the day on Anglesey. Fantastic coastal spot just behind coast watch station. Pillar in fine condition, although missing a cap. A little breezy but the day has turned out fine. Onto Holyhead next!

Last of my 3 trigs on my visit to Anglesey. Parked in Trearddur and walked S on the Angelsey Coast Path. A hot day but I took it steady and enjoyed it. Marvellous coastal scenery: bays, beaches, cliffs, seaviews and geolgy. The trig is just off the path with 360 deg views all round. The occasional plane flew in and out of RAF Valley. Over a decade ago the govt. closed down many coastguard stations. It seems a fair few were taken over to provide a service by volunteers setting up the National Coastwatch Institution. I'd never heard of it, but glad they did. Hot slog back, returned to the campsite as rain set in.

Parked in beach car park, single track road leading to this but thankfully not too busy as we drove along. Along the beach and up towards what we assumed is a coastguard lookout. Pillar is on top of hill nearby, just find the path up to avoid all the gorse bushes etc.

My first pillar on an out island of the British Isles. Parked by chapel and walked up track to CG Lookout. Skirted round gorse covered mound towards the shelter and followed an easy track to the pillar. Exceptional views to today to the N.Snowdonia 3000s, N.Coast of the Lleyn and across Holyhead Island and Anglesey - quite glorious. Pillar has the cap missing otherwise all is good.

Cycled most of the way on farm track via Plas. Pillar 10m NNW of summit of Hirfron. Located in area of cliff top grass,flowering gorse and glacier smoothed outcrops of schist. The area appears to be open to public access. Very fine views, white horses galloping into the the sweep of sand of Cymyran Bay. Gusting SSW wind, blue sky and sunshine.

I used the car park at Ty-crainge and followed the coast path; a pleasant and not too taxing one mile walk on a warm, sunny afternoon. The summit is surrounded by gorse bushes but there are ways through… if you’re not wearing shorts! The pillar is in good condition, apart from the missing plug. The views are excellent with Ynysoedd Gwylanod clearly visible on the southern horizon and Holyhead Mountain on Holy Island to the north.

Visited on a walk from Holyhead to Valley, which also included Tre-Arddur trig pillar. Came along the coast path to the north, with strengthening winds and choppy seas. It was blowing a gale up at the trig point and I was very glad of the nearby stone shelter to stop for a snack. Given better conditions I'd rate this pillar even higher, but today it was still worth no less than 8/10.

Lovely location, with a fine shelter nearby and a good view. Not sure how Llanfairfechan, on the North Wales coast ranks as the nearest town, when Holyhead is only 4 crow miles away!!!!

Parked at St Gwenfaen Church at Rhoscolyn took footpath heading South East passing the castle style house turned West at gate and up hill to trig. Great views all round trig in good condition.

Walked out from Holyhead via Porth-y-post and Trearddur then along the coast in a gale to get to this one. Returned to Holyhead via Four Mile Bridge and Stanley Embankment.

No plug. Public. Access Land. AONB. Useful permissive track from Rhoscolyn church up to Isle of Anglesey Coastal Path, then good access path to trig, avoiding the gorse. Excellent, fairly level, cliff-top walk along coastal path to Trearddur Bay.

Another pillar I must have walked pretty close to when I walked the coast of the island in 1985. I parked the car at the church and made the mistake of taking the wrong track to the sea, heading west instead of south, but it is highly recommended as the bay at the end of the track to the west is beautiful. After visiting the trig I sat in the stone shelter out of the wind and pondered what to do next.

Excellent location, with good views all round. Worth the longer approach around the north headland for the cliffs, also passes a old well. Plug Missing

Negotiating the footpath from the parking place at Rhoscolyn was interesting but once on the headland it's OK. Next to a nicely buil stone shelter with Coast Guard lookout post in the foreground. Good views of the Anglesey coast. Plug missing.
