Very easy path from private road west of Arisaig village. A bit boggy but views towards the Small Isles / Skye / Moidart, even better on a clear day.

Park at the end of the road before it turns into a private track. The path up starts at approx NM625848 (where the 'a' for Mermorial is on the OS map). This takes you up to the sheep fold and then upwards to the trig. Sometimes its a quad track, sometimes just a path.

A contrast to yesterday, the tiny Marilyn next to Loch Morar is followed by a descent to picknickers - escape into a feeling of wilderness. Head to the memorial cairn and you get a view inland to this gnarled place - a feel of the Torridon edges to it.

Circular walk of 5 tumps from NM 6341 8538, although better parking at end of the minor road. Took a near enough direct line to the trig from Cruach Rhue over rough ground. Confusingly the hill named Ruemach Hill is approx 950m NE (and is 1m higher than this hill). Pillar has an asphalt centre plug; all sight holes open. Occupies a commanding position at the co-(almost)high point of the W end of the peninsula. Fine panoramic views to the islands.

Not a day for the misty and wet hills but sunny just in this area for an afternoon walk out from Arisaig. Followed lane then track then cut up across rough ground and found a faint path leading to trig point from the north.

Log #353. More or less took GRP's route - very boggy past the sheepfold. Had a few swearing fits on the way to Ruemach at drivers that didn't seem to understand how single-track roads work. Pillar is in good condition, perched on rocky hump, all sight-holes open and bolt visible, but cap missing. Stunning 360* views of South Morar, Ardnish, Moidart, Ardnamurchan, the Small Isles, and Sleat. [ExP-248/MiP-31/Rev-2/BM-23/IS-34/Other-15]

Very pleasant viewpoint - judging by very feint track it is not often visited. But why was there a discarded water bottle? Maybe unnoticed when dropped, but that is no excuse! ***Admin*** On 1:25000 the hill is named as Cruach Doire'n Dobhrain, at 103m ground surveyed. The summit of Ruemach Hill (104m air-survey) is ~NM6347084702 some 950m to the north east. Maybe a name change ? ****
