Pulled in at entrance to Richborough Roman Fort, closed at the time. Crossed over to west side of road through a new metal kissing gate then another after about 100 metres. Into grassy field with a depression at the summit of the hill, turns out it is an amphitheatre. From there, pillar is visible in field to the north. Over fence, field of grass. Spider and cap in place. Good view of Fort to the east.

An archaeological excavation, surrounded by high fence, taking place in the Amphitheatre and the farmer ploughing the field around the pillar meant we could only look at this one from the roadside!

We stopped by to visit this trigpoint while on a wander along the River Stour and then past Richborough Castle. It's not a particularly high summit, but there are decent views over to Thanet and to the marshes behind.
