After a hike around the Bramham Park Estate with Dearne Valley Walking Group that included a visit to Thorner Moor, Steve Pennock and I remained in the area to do some trig bagging. This was one of six more that afternoon. The landowner was present and granted us access over the left hand gate for the short walk to the pillar, tucked in a corner to the right, behind the hedge row. The pillar is in generally good condition but the centre cap for the spider has been replaced and there is some minor damage to the top of the pillar.
