Missed this on the way up but after bagging Twmbarlwm trig could make this one out from the top. Also got chatting to a local biker who happily gave us an escort to the trig and pointed out where to park. Just a simple hop over stile in corner of the field next to road (so easy access) to find Trig in middle of field in great condition, all SH open, Spider, Flush Bracket looks polished (agree with F.Ted here, probably the sheep) and cap in place.

A short walk from the housing estate nearby (parked on Cotswold Way, after a long walk along the Brecon and Monmouthshire Canal nearby). Climbed over the stile and just a short walk up to the trig, surrounded by sheep. Very good views of Twmbarlwm and across the Bristol Channel.

Discovered whilst geocaching in the area. Walked along the road and found a stile into the field where the trig was. Very nice views.

3/3 on circuit from Risca park and ride railway station with XWW decadoubler BL. Convenient stile off lane into south corner of pillar field. Short sheep grazed grass, no evidence of the field boundary shown on my old OS map. Good condition, original cap but black spray graffiti appeared since the photos taken by KT last February.

Parked on verge beside the drive on Mountain Road to West of trig, walked back to the corner to East as mentioned by other logs, where the fence is easily crossed, then a simple walk up to the trig. Good condition, original cap. Great views.

I parked in the lay-by/passing place on Mountain Road, then followed Ted's advice and walked down the road until i found the "Stile" from there easy pop over the pillar, nice location, good condition great views.

No trouble parking for me - I cycled from Pontypool, although it was hard work lifting the bike over the stile in the corner of the field. Trig in good condition. Spotted pillar at Twmbarlwm, which I visited next. Very enjoyable day out in the sun. Hence 8/10!

#323 P#235 P2016#35. Parked in layby and there was a slight break in the hedge with the wire at the top a bit lower. Might be a regular trig baggers route. Then into field for the trig. Nice n easy.

The idea of pkbathrooms to park on the estate is a good one. If you aprk on Cotswold Way there is a track beside number 54 up through a field to the minor road. Don't fight your way through the hedge but instead turn right and go down hill for about 200 meters where there is a stile into the field and no further obstructions up to the trig point. The FB is lovely and clean, I think because the sheep have probably been using it as a rubbing post.

Parked in the housing estate in a straight line from the trig across the minor rd. 250 yds from trig. Easy walk and very easy parking. Cracking evening with excellent views across to Devon and more. Sheep with lambs grazing and got some funny looks from the sheep.

There is a pull in on the mountain road just North of the trigpoint. Walk back down the hill and there is a sort of stile on the corner. Go over the stile and back up the hill in the field to the trigpoint (about 200Mtrs.)

This was my first trig logged in full winter conditions. There was a foot deep covering of pristine snow in the field to trawl through to reach the pillar and I had to scrape away a good bit of snow and ice to get at the flush bracket and cap. Most enjoyable :).

Located 100m from a minor road with difficult parking. The hedgerow is holly and impenetrable, but opposite the trig is a weak point that could be breached (unless someone applies some secateur action to this point it won't be open for long - the holly is growing fast). Pillar is in a rolling short-grassed pasture with sheep grazing. Pillar is in good condition, metal plug (no lettering on it), all sight holes open. Good views.

Pillar in very good condition. We were coming down the lane and spotted the pillar in the field so a quick detour back up the lane to get access via the gate by the public footpath.

We parked in the first pull-in from the south east (look for the burnt out car). There's a gap in the hedge opposite then it's sheepy pasture up to the trig. Metal plug with no letters - very rare!
