Hoped this would be a quick find, no such luck, after 1/2 hour prodding with walking pole, heard the tell tale sound but under about 2cm of mud and grass. No shovel today so had to use walking pole and gardening glove, left exposed if you want to bag it now.

Hadn't intended doing any trigging today so had no tools with me. However CJ found an old knife and fork in the car we had used on a picnic and so armed with iainmac's images, we began probing for this one. A nice lady from a nearby farm stopped and gave me directions to a nearby cache and I didn't have the heart to tell her that I was looking for something else! After half an hour the fork struck an object which gave that familiar hollow clunk and there it was, 3" down.

Had been here for about 5 minutes when, right out of the blue, a huge articulated lorry can trundling down the lane. There was no way it was going to get past my car so I had to reverse quite some way and I'd lost interest after that! Should have taken a print of the photo before going on holiday!!

After finding the FBM easily has time to spare to find this. Used the written descriptions - should have made more use of the photographs. Searching in the wrong area. One to try again later.

N verge, 5ft from road edge. Looking from road it's 6" left of LH fence post. If that goes: 8m E of wall end, 9m W of footpath signpost. Buried about 3" down.

Even with the sketch (thanks to RS and IR) this one took 10 mins to find. Some of the features on the sketch have changed (old stone post gone and part of fence missing).
