After visiting S5507, followed GPS along quarry track, up tangled bank into rewooding area, to an edge above quarry track, where GPS indicated ground zero a few meters over edge. Active quarrying not evident in area but probably well worked over since pillar removed.

Replaced by the new trig close by, presumably as a result of the earthworks. Logged this one to clear up my map of to-do trigs.

Uprooted, destroyed, replaced by its near neighbour, without a shadow of a doubt. This 10 fig GR is slap in the middle of the quarry. Strike it from the OS records.

Walked all around the woods and apart from being able to hear traffic got completely lost. There is some areas of regrading, so may have been demolished.

Interesting wander around quarry grounds,loads of gorse and brambles,nothing at all at known GPS fix but more bloody gorse!!
